Bake you own goodies at home!
Substitute store bought, packaged crackers full of preservatives with fresh homemade ones. Avoid packaged baked products as these are rich in fats, especially saturated and trans fats.
Highly processed foods can potentially increase your glucose and insulin levels, and many physical problems like headaches and dehydration.
SALTY CHIA CRACKERS
1/2 cup coconut flour
1/4 cup chia seeds
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup tapioca flour
1 cup boiling water
1/4 tsp salt
Seasonings of choice.
I used Rosemary and garlic powder.
What to do:
Preheat the oven to 185C/375F degrees.
Mix the dry ingredients together. Add the coconut oil and mix well.
Gradually add the boiling water to the mixture and stir.
Roll out the dough onto a baking paper. Bake for 25 minutes.
Will make about 20-25 crackers
