Swap dairy for a less harmful and natural choices!
Reducing your dairy intake might be hard when its everywhere, in refrigerated shelves in stores, in restaurants, and in packaged goods. In our culture, we grew up believing that dairy is the way – and only way – to grow bigger while maintaining healthy bones and teeth. But this is not the case! In fact, about 75 percent of people around the world are lactose intolerant. There are many plant-based foods that can provide your body with calcium such as Kale, spinach and a variety of grains.
Here is a great idea to substitute your cream cheese!
CASHEW-LIME CREAM CHEESE!
1 cup Raw cashews,soaked in 3/4 water for at least 30 min then drained
The juice of one lemon
1 kafir lime leaf
salt and pepper to taste
What to do:
Blend all the ingredients in a high speed blender until it is completely smooth, you can add spoon by spoon of water if you are want a more creamy texture. Pour into a glass container and refrigerate. 🙂 You can keep it for up to a week in the fridge!
Use over salads, nachos, sandwiches, burgers and everything you want!! Delicioso! 🙂
